Summer tyres
The unique rubber compound gives summer tyres a better grip on the road during warmer periods. Moreover, summer tyres wear less quickly than winter or all-season tyres during these periods. A summer tyre's coarser tread also increases grip at higher temperatures.
Winter tyres are not adapted to summer conditions. Continuing to drive on winter tyres in summer is less safe and more expensive. At higher temperatures, the rubber of winter tyres becomes too soft. This affects grip and increases wear. We therefore recommend fitting summer tyres from 15 March onwards.
- More grip in summer
- Shorter braking distance
- Less wear
- More economical

All-season tyres
The biggest advantage of the all-season or four-season tyre is its hassle-free nature. You do not need to have your car tyres replaced twice a year at our tyre centre. The rubber and tread offer sufficient grip in almost all not too extreme weather conditions. But in extreme weather conditions, a good winter tyre is still preferred.
A four-season tyre does wear faster than a summer tyre in higher temperatures because the compound of an all-season is softer.
- Grip on the road all year round
- No tyre changes every season
- No investment in a second set of tyres

Winter tyres
Winter tyres have remarkably better grip in winter conditions. This is due to a modified rubber compound and finer grooves in the tread. In Belgium, it is recommended to fit winter tyres under the car from 1 October. Then you can enjoy winter tyres to the full.
- Less likely to get stuck in snow
- Shorter braking distance in winter conditions
- More grip on the road during the winter months
- Meanwhile, summer tyres do not wear out

Winter tyres in europe
The use of winter tyres is compulsory in these countries
- Winter tyres are compulsory
- Winter tyres are compulsory in winter road conditions
- Winter tyres are not compulsory

Tyre hotel
In recent years, Banden Claerhout has invested heavily in its own tyre warehouse. When you buy a new set of winter or summer tyres, we then store your other set in our tyre hotel.
- No dragging heavy or dirty tyres.
- Each tyre is labelled with your details after inspection.
- We keep track of which tyres are stocked for you and their tread depths.
- Storage is done in ideal conditions, wheels(tyre+rim) are stored horizontally and loose tyres are stored vertically in the rack to prevent deformation.
- The wheels (tyre+rim) are balanced during storage to eliminate the risk of steering vibrations.
- When you make an appointment to change, the tyres are immediately ready to put under your car.
- If necessary, we provide new tyres by the next changeover.
Tyre size
Before contacting us, it might be interesting to check the size of your tyres. This info, as shown in the image, can be found on the tyre itself. This allows us to help you more quickly. If you want to change tyre size, you should be aware that the circumference of the tyre may decrease by a maximum of 2% and increase by a maximum of 1.5%.
Free tyre check
Stop by with your car for FREE to have the wear and tyre pressure checked by us.
Free inflation
You can always visit our tyre centre to have your tyres inflated for free!
Tyre pressure
The majority of motorists drive around with too low tyre pressure! If car tyre pressure is correct today, it does not mean it will still be correct next month.
Pressure loss is not always due to glass shards or nails. Rubber is porous material and allows air to pass through. This reduces pressure by 5 to 10 per cent over time.
Consequences of too low tyre pressure
- The vehicle's road handling and braking performance deteriorate drastically.
- The tyres wear faster and irregularly.
- Fuel consumption and hence CO2 emissions go up dramatically as a result of increased rolling resistance.
- The tyre generates more heat while driving which can be the trigger for tyre failure.
